The Arthur N. Caple Foundation was created by NAGDCA in memory of one of its most outstanding members to help promising financial planning students become aware of the career opportunities with public sector retirement plans. The ANC Foundation offers scholarship awards to junior, senior or graduate students whom demonstrate academic excellence and an understanding of the issues facing public sector retirement plans. Working with the International Foundation for Retirement Education (InFRE), a 501(c)(3) retirement certification organization that Art Caple helped found, the ANC Foundation will evaluate scholarship applications from participating universities, and acknowledge scholarship winners and the universities they represent during a conference general session. Scholarship opportunities include:

The highest award to a single student:

  • $5,000 to be used toward educational expenses in the 2012-2013 school year
  • Registration, travel and hotel accommodations for the NAGDCA Annual Meeting (valued at $1,800)
  • Enrollment in the Certified Retirement Counselor® (CRC®) certification program, materials and exams (valued at $900)

Additional ANC Foundation Scholarship Awards:

  • Ten (10) students will receive a $1,000 travel stipend and the NAGDCA Annual Meeting registration fee will be waived.
